Kendall Wright:-

Kendall has been passionate about dogs for as long as he can remember. He grew up in a household where dogs were considered to be much more than a “pet,” more so like an equal member of the family. While attending the University of Tennessee, Kendall decided to explore volunteer opportunities associated with dogs and became a volunteer at a local animal hospital. This experience as a volunteer escalated his dream of working with dogs, so he started pursuing a career in dog training…..and soon after found The Dog Wizard. Kendall’s patience, compassion, and natural understanding of a dog’s psyche explain why he has become such a successful dog trainer. Kendall is motivated by improving dogs’ lives, which explains why he loves his job so much. Nothing is more satisfying than granting a dog the freedom to explore and run free, knowing when you say “Come,” the dog will actually come. And the positive effect dog training has on owners isn’t so bad either! Kendall specializes in off-leash obedience, separation anxiety, and aggression cases. Kendall is ecstatic to return to his home state and be a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, with Colby, a very happy-go-lucky yellow lab, and Maverick, a Yorkshire Terrier.

Most recently, Kendall was asked to help out on ABC’s hit television show NASHVILLE, starring Chip Esten, Connie Britton, and Hayden Panettiere. Kendall trained the Yellow Labrador puppy “Sue,” who featured in the show’s first season as one of the main character’s puppy. The opportunity to work on a network television series has created a new niche of training for the Nashville Dog Wizard. Now in addition to off-leash obedience and scent training, the Nashville Dog Wizard is available for TV/film/production dog handling.

Amy Campbell:-

Amy is a recent transplant to Charlotte, and The Dog Wizard is very lucky to have her on the team! Amy has a very important role with being the first point of contact for Dog Wizard clients. She helps manage the day-to-day needs, phone calls, and appointments which she does flawlessly. The best part about her job is not only getting to talk with clients about their dogs but also having her rescue mutt, Winston, hang out with her all day! We would be lost without her.

Noelle Woodhead:-

Noelle has been part of The Dog Wizard family since she started her path as a trainer in Charleston SC in 2012. After 5 years in the Lowcountry and 4 years of helping dogs and their owners to have a better life, it was time to get back to her roots in New Jersey. It was a tough decision not to be hands on with owners and their dogs but now as the office manager she gets to continue to be part of the wizard family and clients lives! Her first hand knowledge of the training side adds a huge benefit to the day to day operations in the office. It helps us be more efficient, creating processes to help better our clients experience as she understands our clients needs that much more! Whether you are a first time caller or a current client, Noelle’s passion for canine’s and their people exudes from the moment you start talking to her. She has an unending love for her three dogs Lexi, Trinity and her newest addition Huckleberry as well as the man that stands by her side, Evan. Noelle is focusing on field trial obedience with Huckleberry and has the pleasure of frequenting the river with the dogs and exploring the beautiful trails and landscape of The Garden State.

Tate has had a connection with dogs since high school, when he trained his first dog, Britt, a German Shepherd. He graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in kinesiology, but always felt drawn to working with dogs. His naturally calm demeanor and understanding of how dogs communicate attract dogs to him immediately.

Before Tate joined the Nashville Dog Wizard, he worked with prosthetic and orthotic patients, and he brings the same attention to detail, care, and patience to each dog he trains. For Tate, dogs are not just pets, but an important member of the family with a specific role. He loves to see their confidence build as they learn their role and become happier dogs.

Tate moved to Nashville in 2012. He lives in East Nashville with his wife, Chelsea, their German Shepherd, Goose, and rescue cat, Polly.

Colby is one of the sweetest yellow Labradors you will ever meet. He serves as an excellent sidekick to the Nashville Dog Wizard, Kendall. Colby was given to Kendall as a Christmas gift in 2007, and he has since inspired Kendall to work with dogs. His jolly personality and eagerness to learn have made him the perfect sidekick for training.

Colby is excited to be a part of the Nashville Dog Wizard and is ready to take over Nashville, one dog park at a time!

Maverick, a spunky 7 year-old Yorkshire terrier, has been a part of Kendall’s life for many years, but has just recently joined the Nashville Dog Wizard. Prior to his training, Maverick suffered from severe separation anxiety. But after working with Kendall, he has overcome his problem and is happy as can be! Maverick now helps represent the Nashville Dog Wizard, and he couldn’t do a better job!
